"BLAYDES BOUNTY"
The Blades family were once the leading shipbuilder and merchant in Hull during the 17th and 18th Centuries. The Royal Navy was a major client for the Blaydes and the best known ship they built was the infamous "Bounty" whose crew led by Fletcher Christian mutined in 1789 against Captain William Bligh.
This piece is available to view and purchase at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle-upon-Tyne
